Jennifer Walshe at Battersea Arts Centre - BBC Proms - Saturday 27 July - 3 pm

Another composer I can highly recommend, Jennifer Walshe is performing at Proms At...Battersea Arts Centre tomorrow at 3 pm.

I don't know the other names and the Proms web site is not forthcoming with much detail about this concert, so apologies to any other women composers I should be mentioning for this event. Let me know if I've missed you out and I'll post a listen again link.

Icarus by Lera Auerbach - BBC Proms - NYOGB - Saturday 27 July - 7.30 pm

Lera Auerbach's riveting tone poem Icarus is performed by the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain tomorrow night.

And BBC, it's ok to name the woman composer as well as the two men on the Proms calendar page. Maybe you think it will stop people from attending or listening? If so I hope you will have more confidence in your programming in future. Auerbach's music is brilliant.
